Weizenbock is a strong wheat-based ale with fruity and spicy flavors. Think of it as a hefeweizen for fall and winter. It's dark amber in color, with the flavors of a dunkelweizen and the richness, body, and warmth of a bock beer. Rich, bock-like bready malt combined with a powerful aroma of dark fruit, and phenols like cloves add complexity to this marvelous beer. Like a hefeweizen, the yeast also may bring out some banana esters, especially when fermented over 66 degrees.

Weizenbock - Extract Recipe Kit Instructions
Containing a more forward ester alcohol flavor that gives most weizens their signature clove-like aroma and taste, a Weizenbock is the big, bad brother to the Doppelbock. With some spicy characters and bigger, bolder dark fruit notes, this beer is one of the most potent of the Weizen family tree.
