Have not got a chance to use the kettle yet, but hopefully will this weekend (weather permitting). It appears to be very well-made and arrived well-packaged without any damage. Will update the review after I have a chance to test it out.
My first purchase from Home Brew Supply and they delivered this very quickly with free shipping. Kudos for that. SS Brew Tech makes great quality products for the price. No complaints on the 15 gallon kettle. Tri clad bottom and solid. If you are in the market for a 15 gallon kettle look no further.
I actually was able to purchase the 15 gal SS Brew Kettle for less than I could get it from SS Brew Tech
Kettle is sturdy, looks great. Can't wait to get it into my setup!
Well made kettle and no issues assembling after it arrived. Worked well to maintain temp on brew day and it will definitely be a well used piece of equipment for years to come.
I was a bit hesitant to spend $250 on a kettle, but I am really happy I did. Compared to other kettles I've seen and touched at homebrew supply stores, this thing is solid. Love the rubberized handles, though I still use hot mits. The really nice thing is the pickup tube with the trub block. I leave about 1.25qts in the kettle and at least 2/3 of it is trub. I just do a quick whirlpool after cooling and most of the trub stays right in the middle of the kettle when draining. If you are on the fence about spending a few more dollars for this kettle, I'd say go for it. I really think the value is there.
