SS Brewtech 10 Gallon Stainless Steel Kettle

Posted by Jeffery H. on Nov 1st 2016

I have used this kettle for 5 brews. It was easy to assemble and clean, be ure to read the instructions about the gasket placement. The dip tube works great and does help block some trub, but not all. If you're worried about that, use a fine mesh strainer to drain your wort through as it goes into the fermentor. The only issue I have had is the ball valve itself. It leaks a few drops though the valve itself and I've tried to tighten the the bolts on it. The issue starts around 160 and stops once the wort is past 180. Not sure if it is a temperature issue with the seal or what. Overall a good kettle for the price point. The leaking issue is only a minor annoyance.
