Special B is the darkest of the dark malts from the land of all things beer, Belgium. Producing dark fruit flavors akin to raisins, cherries, ans plums, this is a great malt to use in lower percentages. Less than 5% will provide an excellent color addition while greater than 5% will contribute a dark black/brown color and fuller body.

I found Homebrew Supply quite by accident. I was looking for a recipe calculator to try my hand at my first all grain recipe using one of my own creation. Ok so not exactly totally mine, I wanted to do a clone of Alaskan Amber..I mean who doesn't right.
I came across Brewer's Friend and used the recipe tool till I got what I wanted and noticed this little red flag in the corner that caught my curiosity as to what it was. 'Buy this recipe' is what it said. Being a curious person I clicked it and was pleasantly surprised that it went to a homebrew store and selected the items and quantity from the recipe builder.
The prices were very competitive and they had everything except for one ingedient, Saaz hops :(. That's ok, everything else was cheaper than my local store so I ordered anyway.
After about 3 days I noticed my order was still in processing. I emailed the store and asked about the status, within a couple of hours I received a response that it would go out that day.
A few days later I received all the ingredients, liquid yeast was wrapped with a cold pack and all grains milled as I had requested.
To make a long story short, the wort is in the fermenter and fingers crossed it will be a stellar brew. Thanks to the guys/gals at Homebrew Supply for making the process so darn easy.
