I was looking for a somewhat easy all grain, being this was my first good at it. Shipping was very fast and all supplies were in great shape! Brew day went great! I learned that I need to upgrade a few things, mainly a mash tun, and a 10 gallon is in the works. After transferring it to a second fermenter, I’m going to let it age 2-3 months before kegging it. For now it’s a wait and watch it. If you’ve been thinking about stepping up to all grain, go for it, and give this kit a shot! Cheers!
I ordered this and the PB stout all grain kit and they shipped together. The way the grains, hops, etc. were labelled and shipped made it easy to split the recipes. The robust porter recipe was basic and straightforward which I appreciated. I brewed it in my grainfather, and it turned out great.
So tired of dealing with the LHBSS and inaccurate items, lack of needed items, waiting to crush grains, etc.
Online ordering with HBS takes a couple of minutes, I get exactly what I ordered, in the correct quantity, clearly marked fresh products. Flat rate shipping makes is the icing on the trub cake.
This was a great beer. I added cold brew coffee at bottling and it turned out fantastic.
Easy to follow and accurate description of the beer.
