An easy drinking, not too sweet, not too bitter amber ale, this beer has long been known as a “gateway beer” into the craft brewing world. With the classic bready notes, this American amber is not too hoppy, not too bitter, and just right.
After biking through Europe, New Belgium's co-founder created this brew to have all of the balance that an American Amber needed: Bready malt goodness perfectly balanced with American hops. And thus, the Fat Tire Amber Ale was born!
All orders containing Liquid Yeast will be shipped with a complimentary ice pack to ensure safe shipping!
Style Profile Amber Ale is a term used to describe pale ale beers that are brewed using amber and crystal malts, which give them their characteristic amber color they are known for. They typically have a smooth finish and a less dominant hop profile (although there are exceptions). They're a great every-day beer that can be enjoyed at anytime and any season.

Well, I haven't had a chance to make this yet as I ordered 5 different kits along with this one. Made 3 so far and if they are any indication, this one should be just as easy and delicious as the rest. Awesome staff and product every time!! I will try and update later when I get this one finished up.
I recently made my first purchase from HBS. 1) using the website was a snap. 2) Delivery was prompt. 3) my order was filled correctly. 4) The directions were clear and easy to follow. These are things that everyone should expect and be entitled to as a customer. But as a new brewer I had some additional questions. I contacted HBS customer service and Jessie P. responded quickly with great advice. I can't wait to taste my beer when it is done. I will be sure to confine to shop with HBS.
Item arrived in quickly and was packed well. ingredients were clearly labeled and fresh. Recipe instructions were omitted but I emailed customer service and Jesse emailed them to me.
Batch is fermenting nicely in primary and unless the fine people at Home Brew supply have a way to speed up time, I'll have to wait a bit longer to comment further.
