This Extra Special Bitter is crafted with light liquid malt extract along with Pale Maris Otter, Caramel, and Biscuit malts as well as East Kent Golding hops to give it a very nice balance. Ours is a bit hoppier than you'll find in other ordinary or special bitter styles, and less hop character than you'll get with American pale ales. Once brewed, you'll have a very drinkable beer with a toasted malt flavor, the right amount of hop bitterness and you'll get some additional flavoring that's imparted to the beer when you use one of our suggested English yeast strains.
One Beer to rule them all!

"Bitter" is an English term for pale ales. Bitters come in 3 varieties of strength: Ordinary, Special, and Strong. They tend to be a bit more bitter than other pale ales and the term is used to differentiate them from other pale ales with a more subdued hop profile.
