This is an upgrade to your Grainfather that will allow you to begin heating 4.8 gallons of water while your mashing and have your sparge water ready to go when the mash is complete. Once your sparge water is up to the desired temperature the heater will hold that temperature until changed or turned off.

Well made and heats sparge water in around 30-40 min & holds temperature nicely.
This is a pretty straight forward little system. It's efficient, quiet, and it can keep a large volume of water heated to a precise temperature for as long as you need it. One my first batch of beer with the Grainfather I put my strike water on at the same time I heated up my sparge to keep it hot and it was ready when I needed it an hour later. The price is a bit much for what is essentially a large tea kettle but it's a quality product.
Good unit. Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I've used it twice and it heats the water quickly and stays at temp.
This device really makes sparging simple. Just dial the temp in during the mash and it will be ready to go when its time to sparge. The dial doesn’t seem to be 100% precise, but you get very close to the desired temp (mine overshot by a few degrees) but there is plenty of time to make adjustments while mashing.
Delivery was very fast and the product was very well protected during shipping. The water heater worked like a champ. The price was lower than the competition and I even got a discount on top of the purchase price. Cheers!
Looks like I got a non-US version with metric units on the sight glass and temp dial. Not a big deal, easy to convert gal/liter and temps, the unit works great, heats pretty fast, and accurate, and makes brew day way easier.
