A classic dry stout, this beer is a very dark, roasty, bitter, and creamy ale. It's also called “Irish Stout”. This is our version of the classic stout directly from Ireland. Roasty aromas and flavors, with a classic dry finish reminiscent of coffee and bittersweet chocolate come from the roasted barley and are the hallmarks of our wonderful dry stout. Light-bodied, this stout is extremely drinkable. It's perfect for sharing all year long.

I don't normally order kits from Home Brew Supply, but I figured since there was a deal I would give them a shot. I ordered 2 kits, and when they arrived all of the ingredients for both kits were shoe horned into the box with no delineation of what went with what kit. I checked the packing slip, where the specialty grains were listed separately, but in the box all the grains were in a see through plastic bag with a code written on it. After a couple minutes, I was able to locate all the necessary parts but overall I was just unimpressed with how the packaging was done. I normally use Northern Brewer for their kits, and will continue my patronage of their establishment. For literally the same price, I receive well labeled ingredients and a kit that looks like it can actually be stored for later use.
