With a toasty/biscuity note in the malt character, an English IPA is a treat. Hard to find in the US, you can make your own and enjoy a classic! Using traditional English grains, hops, and yeast, an English IPA is one of the hoppiest of the English ales. Unlike its American cousin, the hops flavor and aroma is definitely “British” style, with earthy notes and a hint of floral spice from the hops and a tiny bit of character from the English yeast. You will love this coppery flavorful ale!

English IPAs are defined by their use of a lot of hops, and are brewed like a strong pale ale. Typically, you can expect a very hopy flavor and high alcohol content with a medium body with notes of bready and biscuit flavors. They range in color from a golden amber to deep amber. Usually have a strong, bitter flavor profile.
