A tribute to one of the most popular IPAs in the business, this clone recipe kit features classic American hops and malt that make a great year round IPA

This kit features continuous hopping. Add about 1/2 of the bittering hops at the beginning of the boil, the continuously add a little bit more until approximately 35 minutes left in the boil. Then mix the Simcoe and Amarillo hops together (keep the dry hops separate), and continuously add those for the rest of boil.

All orders containing Liquid Yeast will be shipped with a complimentary ice pack to ensure safe shipping!

Dogfish Head 60 clone - All Grain

Beer is still in the diacetyl rest but I wanted to help others who brew this beer as the recipe isn't as clear as it could be. Hit OG spot on, FG is close and the nose of the sweet wort is very close to a DFH60 bottle I had recently.

The kit page describes the continuous hopping, but the recipe doesn't clearly explain that part. So where it says to add you Warrior hops at the 60 minute mark, you aren't. Divided your one once of hops into 5 parts and add 1 part every 5 minutes down to the 35 minute mark. Then follow the Amarillo addition step. Then mix the remaining Amarillo and Simcoe hops and add them every 5 minutes down to the 5 minute mark. Clarify and if you whirlpool, you could save a bit from that Sim/Amar addition or add Palisade as I mention below.

I am also audibling and adding .5 ounce Palisade hops to the dry hopping schedule to complement the Simcoe/Amarillo addition to get a more grassy/floral component as mentioned in the 2006 BYO DFH60 clone recipe.

So far this is a great kit, I will edit with how it tastes when I keg.
