Ah, the Brown Porter, a timeless classic that's a bit more robust than a mild, but not quite as "roasty" as you'll find in a robust porter, and is a bit more subdued. It has a great balance between the roasted and malty flavors, with a notes of chocolate thrown in for good measure for the finish. Give it a try, we think you'll love it!

Brown Porter - Extract Recipe Kit Instructions
You can trace the origins of Porter-style beers back to it's roots in England. Typically, Porters will have a lighter to medium body with a nice balance, along with a low to mid level of hop bitterness and malty flavor. Most Porters utilize caramel and chocolate malts, which gives it the "roasted" flavor characteristics they are known for.
