A great recipe for beginner brewers or even advanced brewers that love an American Wheat, this is an easy drinking summertime (or anytime) beer. Light and a bit hazy, this American classic is a favorite amongst Homebrewers and Craft Beer drinkers alike. Refreshing citrus tones and a hint of spice from the coriander make this brew the perfect way to beat the Summer heat. A combination of flaked oats and flaked wheat provide an impressive body, excellent head-retention, and a silky smooth mouthfeel. With light noble hop flavor and refreshing carbonation, this clone is the original recipe, perfected. It’s a great beer that everyone can enjoy- whether you’re a craft beer fan or someone who just loves lighter beers.

Style Guidlines Wheat beers are made with the primary ingredient of wheat, along with other malts. Wheat doesn't have the enzymes needed to convert starches to sugars, so additional malts are added into the mix. Wheat beers fall into one of several other subcategories such as Witbiers, Berliner Weisse, Weissbiers, and Gose. Typically, they'll have a lighter pale color, creamy texture and lightly sweetened flavor profile. A very drinkable style of beer that's perfect for all occasions.

Cooked the kit as instructed. Sp was 1.080 so I diluted to the specified 1.050. Pitched the yeast and it only fermitted to 1.020 instead of 1.010. After 10 days, been trying to ferment to 1.010 by adding yeast nutrient and energizer and then pitching another yeast for ale.
I love making one gallon batches of Blue Moon. It’s really easy to do with this kit, once you’ve carefully looked over all the instructions on line, and that are buried in the recipe sheet, and after you fully understand what everything referred to as!
My husband was extremely pleased to receive this kit and is so looking forward to making it! Said it was his favorite birthday gift!
Haven't tried it yet since I just brewed it yesterday but I will add another review to let you know!
